Our consensus is the median of the numbers the books post, not a number any one book posts. With an even count of books the median sits between the two middle values, so it can land somewhere no sportsbook is offering. Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears shows it: the consensus reads 3.2 because the books are split across numbers on either side of it. A spread of that shape is a summary of a market, and the number available to you is the one your own sportsbook is showing.
